Lajitas Lizard and the Bandido: Dancing with God in the Desert
This is my new book project. I have been on a hiatus from its writing for a while in order to get a clearer vision of what I wanted to do with it. It kept evolving and changing even as I was trying to write it. The first four chapters are now available for download in pdf format. Along the lines of WindWalker: Jouney into Science, Self, and Spirit, Lajitas Lizard is a book about spiritual and personal growth. In the desert, life is distilled down to its basics; its primordial essence. It is harsh, intense, dry, hot, unrelenting, unforgiving. At critical points in our lives, we must all eventually go and spend time in the desert, that dark place of the soul, of desperation, defeat, and despair. Our journey there is often brought on by a crisis, or maybe life just wearing us down. In the end it is about making or accepting change in our life and living more authentically and deeply.
